Alastair Sim delivers a delicious, flawless, once in lifetime performance as that pitiful old piker, Ebenezer Scrooge, injecting the vital element of dimensionality into the character, an element scarcely seen in other versions. The primary motivation for Scrooge's unsavory demeanor is not something as superficial as the thirst for wealth. No, Scrooge's hatred is the result of something deeper, more intrinsic, more human. Sim masterfully establishes this fact with acute understanding of the character. Everything from the manner in which he walks to the way he forms his words is given the proper nuance, yielding an entirely convincing and empathic performance. I have often thought Alastair must have been temporarily possessed by Dickens' mind to have pulled it off!

I so wanted to love this device and give it a high rating but there are some issues. Actually, near as I can tell, one big issue that cost it the 5-star rating it should get.

This is a great cookbook and a good follow up to the first Skinnytaste cookbook (my most used cookbook). I like that most ingredients are not hard to find and in the few cases they are Gina tells you where to find them. Recipes are healthy and flavorful. We've discovered so many new flavors we didn't know existed - makes cooking fun!

I purchased this item, not from Amazon. I absolutely love the charger, but I sure wish I had shopped Amazon first. I could have saved significantly. As far as the product goes....you just can't go wrong with this one. I travel roads like the Demster Highway in NWT and the Dalton Hwy in Alaska every year. I love having the convenience of laying the mat on the dashboard and charging my electronics along the way. With all the summer daylight hours up here I get to charge day and most of the night. Great product and on Amazon it's a great price too.
