This story I found to be a nice mix of both a mystery about what had happened to the main character's half sister (and two friends), and the emotions that came from not knowing where her half sister was. After trying to alert the police to something serious possibly having happened, and them either moving too slowly or simply not telling her about their progress, the main character ventures on her own investigation to find out what had happened. This blend of the main character being the one who has lost someone, AND that same character being the one who ends up investigating the case, provides a really interesting storyline indeed.
