  • http://www.livedlearning.net/2016/06/chocolate-toothpaste.html CHOCOLATE toothpaste?! - Lived Learning: Alive and Well - As anyone who has read About Me on this blog, you know that I have MTHFRc677t, which causes heart disease, cancer, and mental illnesses. And I have some bad tooth decay I am working on probably from fungi in my mouth. My dear old Monterey dentist, Constance Newton, who though not a biological dentist, suggested I try a chocolate toothpaste that uses a product, which I believe contains theobromine, from the cocoa bean instead of fluoride. This toothpaste is Theodent Luxury Toothpaste. I will let Dr. Mercola explain how it can help re-mineralize and help decay though if you google it you will find many pages touting theobromine over fluoride.
  • http://www.livedlearning.net/2016/05/getting-super-better-playing-super-better-jane-mcgonigal-quester.html Getting Super Better Playing Super Better: Jane McGonigal, Quester Extrodinaire - Lived Learning: Alive and Well - When I returned to college at 50, much of it online, I began reading and researching web pioneers as I was using conferencing and learning to build web sites. One of the names I kept hearing about was Jane McGonigal. But she was a gamer, something I was definitely NOT interested in. So I let her slip by.When I was first diagnosed with MTHFRc677t and became legally disabled, I began reading everything I could on all the difficulties of a severe disease. I found that stress plays a major role. I believe I caught Jane doing a TED talk. Her book, a delight, was probably her dissertation. It is done in the style I prefer and many of the doctor's I review here cannot or will not afford. The book is full of citations for all her claims that gaming develops strengths and resiliences especially when we have allies helping us in our quest. And unlike many of these professionals, her book has a great index, so you can look up any part at any time. I now see she wrote an earlier book: Reality Is Broken: Why Games Make Us Better and How They Can Change the World.

There was nothing earth-shattering or deep about this short story, but it was written well and, once the action began, kept me turning (digital) pages.

  • Jason J - NOT FOR BEGINNERS

This product may be advertised for beginners but it is not a god way for a beginner to learn the guitar. The progression for learning is way too fast and becomes discouraging. I would save my money and do some of the FREE lessons on YouTube. I have found the pace a lot better for a beginner and the instructions are better too!

  • Angry Appraiser - Fantastic

Use this weekly. bought all sizes of energizer rechargeable and have saved TONS on batteries for the remotes, diving camera, diving camera flash, LARGE flashlights, etc. I have NOT purchased batteries since I bought this and the rechargeable batteries. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

  • David Owens - excellent hose

Some things you just HAVE to buy the best. After two of those pocket hoses, as seen on tv, broke in the same week, I decided enough was enough. This is a quality product that will not burst and comes with brass end fittings. You cannot do better for the money.

The car is fast and has plenty of power to drive on grass, gravel, dirt. All the parts are replaceable, so if you break something, you can easily order parts and replace without having to buy a whole new car. The receiver box melted down, not sure why, but Keliwow is sending me a new one free of charge. Keliwow has been very responsive and easy to work with--great customer service. Hopefully with the new parts I'll be back in business.

  • Lizzie Lou - So Good I Went to Work Today Without Makeup On for The First Time in 15 yrs.

I've always laughed at the way moisturizers are marketed as having scientific-sounding properties with "visible results" so when I bought this, I was really only expecting a nice facial cream from a reputable company at a cheap price. I started using it 10 days ago and as expected, it seemed like a decent moisturizer but otherwise unremarkable. I completely forgot about the promise of "visible results" never having really expected them due to the low price. Then, about three days ago, I went to put on my makeup before work and stopped because it looked like I already had. I had to actually wipe a tissue over my face to reassure myself that no, I wasn't losing my mind--it was my bare skin. I can't believe it but after only a matter of days, my face looks like it did 15 years ago when I was 36. Back then, I had great skin and could get away with using a bare minimum amount of liquid makeup. As I got older, though, I had to use more and more to the point that by the time I was 50, I wouldn't be caught dead in public without makeup on. Today, I went to work without makeup for the first time in 15 yrs. Even my husband, who thinks beauty products are a scam and a waste of money, commented about it and he NEVER notices anything--not hair coloring or styling, new nails, pedicures, facials and professional makeup--nothing. This stuff is AMAZING. Add the price to the equation and it's really the best beauty product I think I have ever purchased. I read the review cautioning to not apply it around the eyes. That was not my experience. For the first week, the only place I applied it was around my eyes. Now I use it on my whole face. I am SOLD.

  • SoVo - So disappointed with newer versions

I used QB for many years with a small business and loved it. When I recently started a new business, I upgraded to QB 2010. Boy was that a mistake. Intuit has taken the best features of QB and made them all "extras" that you have to subscribe to. For instance, I used to scan copies of contracts and payments received- now I have to pay $5.00 a month for that privilege.
